Tea Cup Prayer to Strengthen You

Heavenly Father, during the holidays we can do a lot of entertaining. Some women, like talented Martha we read about in Luke 10:38-42, are natural-born hostesses, knowing how to throw a good party without much effort. Others must work a little harder at entertaining. In my business and effort to create an enjoyable atmosphere and have things just right, it’s entirely possible I’ve entertained some angels unaware. There are many stories in Your Word where angels appeared: the Christmas story is filled with angelic visits: Zechariah, Mary, Joseph, the shepherds...Thank goodness every angel was recognized and the message You sent from heaven was received and believed. May I never become so busy and fixated on the details of my life—whether it’s entertaining or every day tasks and responsibilities, that I miss the heavenly beings You send with a message. My angel may not be donning wings and halo, they could very well look like my neighbor, my co-worker, my friend, a relative, or the person at the check-out…Grant that I will have open eyes, open ears, and open heart to receive the word of truth, encouragement, or confirmation You have arranged just for me and my circumstances. Instead of being unaware, when I am spiritually intuitive and aware I will also be blessed and rewarded through the message my angel delivers. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen

Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters. Remember to welcome strangers, because some who have done this have welcomed angels without knowing it—Hebrews 13:1-2
