Welcome to

St. John Lutheran Church Elyria

 5pm   Worship Service

ONE
BIG
FAMILY

In 1852 our congregation began with only 2 families the Thiessens and the Reese's... and over the years our congregation has grown and we have experienced many changes and had our share of challenges like many churches during the pandemic we had our share of trials but we are happy to announce we have weathered our storms , made it through our challenges and excited for the new things the Lord is doing both within and around us in the community we are part of.

who will you find here at St. John Lutheran Elyria? People just like yourself: young, old, hopeful, a mixture of colors, life experiences!

"We wait in hope for the Lord ; he is our help and our shield . In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you." ~ Psalm 33:20-22
